Founder
The founder of Thambu Higher Secondary School, late Sri S Palaniswamy Naidu, had a vision to bring education to the needy people of Periyanaickenpalayam. History
Thambu Higher Secondary School has a rich history that spans over 50 years. It was founded on 1st July 1970 in memory of Thambu, the only son of Sri. S. Palanisamy Naidu, the founder-trustee of BlueMount Charities. The school was started with a humble beginning of 53 students and 2 teachers, teaching Standards 6 and 9 in an area of 6.1 acres. However, with the passage of time, the school has grown significantly and now boasts of a student strength of 2000 and a teacher strength of 100.
